Meeting Place IV  

Meeting Place IV: Cotton, doubleweave, loom controlled shibori, natural dyes (Eucalyptus), discharge, fibre reactive dyes.

 

Shibori scarf 1.

Scarf 1: hand woven in wool, triacetate/acrylic, wool/lycra.  Loom controlled sibori and dyed in eucalypt. The scarf has different bands of yarns/structures. Some of the yarns do not take up the dye anmd have retained the original colour.

Scarf 2

Scarf 2: Hand woven in wool and triacetate/acrylic. Loom controlled shibori dyed in Eucalypt. Bands have also been permanently pleated.

Scarf 3

Scarf 3: hand woven in wool and wool/lycra. Loom controlled shibori dyed in eucalypt. The wool/lycra draws in sections of the scarf.

Second series of stainless steel/silk  bookmarks.

From top to bottom:

1-4   Folded shibori, dyed

5       Loom controlled shibori, dyed, scorched in flame. I didn’t leave it in the flame long enough so have ended up with scorch marks not burn out.

    Love your work. Did you notice scarves 1 & 2 have a distinctly chocolate wrapperish look to them? Freudian slip? Look forward to seeing more yummies.
